The convention is an opportunity to bring together the 447 elected and appointed members of the Party as a Committee to address and vote on the issues, official business and affairs of the Party.
An Executive Committee of 64 members oversees affairs of the party inbetween meetings of the full committee and caucus meetings four times a year.
The DNC's Member Committees include Standing (Rules and Bylaws, Credentials and Resolutions), Regional Caucuses, and the Caucus & Councils that address the views of our core constituency groups, and advocate for inclusion of their goals in the party platform.
Caucuses include: The Black, Hispanic, Asian American & Pacific Islander, Women's and LGBT Caucus.
Councils include: Seniors, Disability, Labor, Faith, Rural, Youth, Veterans & Military Families, and the Small Business Owners Council.
