Convention Central: The People’s Platform

In a joint statement Friday, Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wassermann Schultz and DNC Platform Drafting Committee Chair Elijah Cummings (D-MD), announced a series of regional hearings intended to open the process of finalizing the party's official plank of issues to "all voices."
Each of the four events will include experts from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines, encouraging input from those most directly affected - the American People.
How can You Participate? 
The Platform hearings will be held throughout June and early July on a regional basis and will be open to the public:

Democrats around the country are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity to have their voice heard in person, through video, or in writing
Those interested can upload written testimony or video testimony by Skype, in lieu of attending one of the meetings.
