The two US Senate runoff elections in Georgia will be held on January 5th, 2021.
The first seat is the regularly-scheduled election for the seat held by incumbent Republican David Perdue. He is being challenged by Democrat Jon Ossoff.
The second seat is a special election to fill the remaining term of Senator Johnny Isakson (R), who stepped down in mid-2019 citing health concerns. The runoff is between appointed interim-Senator Kelly Loeffler (R) and Reverend Raphael Warnock (D).
Democrats will need to win both Georgia seats to bring control of the US Senate to 50-50.

We as members of the 2020 National Coalition Delegation, a network of confirmed delegates to the 2020 Democratic National Convention, invite you to join us for a pre-inaugural virtual event on Sunday, January 17 at 8:00 PM EST.
Our purpose when we formed was to create positive engagement between delegates pledged to different candidates, and positive public facing messaging on social media about the Democratic Party platform as demonstration of our commitment to stand with Americans during challenging times. Our current goal as the inauguration nears is to generate additional excitement through celebrating by those of us whose vote at the Convention formally made Vice President Joe Biden the Democratic Presidential Nominee. We will join with the many others who have worked hard for this upcoming moment in January, as we encourage support for and engagement in the work ahead when the Biden Administration takes office.
Guest presenters include The Honorable Tony Coelho, 2020 Vice Chair, Democratic National Convention; Leon McDougle, M.D., President, National Medical Association; Onelica Andrade, Delegate Representing Democrats Abroad; Michelle Regalado Deatrick, Founder and Chair DNC Council on the Environment and Crisis; Saleema Lovelace, Delegate from the State of Pennsylvania; Yvette Joseph, MSW, Member of the Colville Confederated Tribes from Spokane, and Delegate Representing the State of Washington.

The Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC) will kick off inauguration week with the traditional National Day of Service — to celebrate and honor the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The Committee will partner with organizations across the country to host service events that focus on COVID-19 relief and address challenges that have been exacerbated by the pandemic, such as poverty, hunger, racial injustice, homelessness, mental health, and educational disparities. The day “is an opportunity for all Americans to unite and serve at a time when the global pandemic calls on all of us to work together and support our communities.”

For the Inauguration of President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Harris, the Presidential Inauguration Committee (PIC) will host a National Day of Service in honor of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. PIC is partnering with FDP and organizations across the Country to host service events that focus on Covid-19 relief and address challenges that have been exacerbated by the pandemic, such as poverty, hunger, racial injustice, homelessness, mental health, and educational disparities.
Here in Florida, Feeding America reports that one in eight people, an estimated 2,768,480 Floridians, are struggling with hunger and one in five children is hungry. This is unacceptable, and while Ron DeSantis and the GOP led legislature continue to fail us, we are asking you to join us to help people in need.
In support of PIC’s National Day of Service, on Monday, January 18, 2021, the Florida Democratic Party is collaborating with organizations throughout the State, to support local food banks. We would like to have at least 100 individual events, County Parties, Caucuses and Clubs step up and organize their friends, members and family to collect nonperishable food and deliver food collected to a local food bank.
FDP will provide everyone with a list of food banks in each county where the donation can be received. To agree to collect food and donate it to a food bank on January 18, 2021, please sign up here.
To help volunteers recruit other volunteers and to support the volunteer’s collection efforts, FDP created a Social Media Toolkit. Included in the Social Media Toolkit, are the hashtags to publicize the food drive. To access the Social Media Toolkit, click here.
A financial gift of any size may be made to Feeding Florida, the State’s network of food banks working to solve hunger. To donate to Feeding Florida, click here.

Event Details
The Woman’s National Democratic Club was founded in 1922 at a historic time in American history — just two years after the passage of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution, which began the enfranchisement of American women. As the first organization for Democratic women in Washington, DC, WNDC is proud to host a welcome reception for new Democratic legislators as they undertake the great responsibility of representing the will of the American people.
This year’s Zoom program will continue this tradition of welcoming new legislators to Congress as we look hopefully to our country’s future. The WNDC is thrilled to celebrate the re-election of over 200 Democratic congresspeople in this landmark year for political action, advocacy, and community building, resulting in the trifecta win of the Presidency, Senate, and the House. The evening will include guest speakers from the Hill and a special meal prepared by our talented kitchen staff (option of celebratory bubbly) for curbside pick-up prior to the event.

Inauguration Day is January 20, 2021, when Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will be sworn-in as the 46th President and Vice President of the United States!
The inauguration, which is themed “America United”, will be held largely virtually due to the coronavirus pandemic, but most of the official ceremonies will proceed with a “limited” footprint.
Otherwise, the traditional parties, balls and celebrations will be virtual. If the Democratic Convention is an indication, however, there will still be at least 200 events nationwide for participants and watchers.
All individual official and unofficial events are posted on the DemList Presidential Inaugural Calendar and will be updated daily.
Streamed at BidenInaugural.org/watch and expected to be carried live on all major networks and platforms.

Join us to virtually congratulate President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris! In addition, we’ll celebrate the rich legacy of African Americans who have worked at the White House, especially the culinary professionals, and help support some great programs for African Americans in the food industry. This event will include live interviews, pre-recorded presentations, food, and entertainment. We’ll wind things up by partying and dancing with DJ Big Styles! We’ve got a lot to celebrate!
Attendees will receive a commemorative program and recipe booklet that will allow them to prepare one of the tribute meals contributed by chefs around the country. For example, here’s the tribute menu for President-elect Joe Biden:
First Course–Grilled Shiitake Mushrooms, Jonah Crabmeat & Herbs, and Roasted Red Pepper Sauce, Former Assistant White House Chef John Moeller, Lancaster, PA.
Second Course Tequila-Agave Salmon with Cucumber Pico de Gallo by Sandra A. Gutiérrez.
Dessert–Apple pie with French Vanilla Ice Cream, former Executive Chef of the White House Mess, Charlie Redden, Maryland.
There’ll also be a menu for Vice President-elect Kamala Harris, a menu jointly celebrating Biden & Harris, and a vegan menu.
HOUR ONE
To kickoff this festive occasion, we’ll start off with a mini-contest by SUCH, a former American Idol contestant and All Africa Music Award winner.
We’ll then welcome our first guests:
Chef Charlie Redden, the first Certified Executive Chef in the history of The White House Mess, owner of Chef Charlie’s Catering, and a U.S. Navy veteran.
Senior Master Sgt. (retired) Wanda Joell, the first African American woman to serve on Air Force One. She served Presidents George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama.
You’ll hear from them, and you’ll have the chance to ask them questions via a live chat!
HOUR TWO
Choreographer and dancer Parijat Desai opens up our second hour with a dance performance.
Then we’ll hear about the enslaved people who worked in the White House from Jesse J. Holland, author, The Invisibles: The Untold Story of the Slaves Who Worked in the White House, and Black Men Built the Capitol : Discovering African-American History in and Around Washington, D. C.
HOUR THREE . . . maybe more, depending upon how much you want to dance!
Adrian Miller, that’s me, will share some favorite stories about the African Americans who have cooked for our presidents., based on the book The President’s Kitchen Cabinet: The Story of the African Americans Who Have Fed Our First Families from the Washingtons to the Obamas.
We’ll close out with a live dance party with music provided by DJ Big Styles
